MEDIA RELEASE: Jan. 2, 2015
Columbia, SC—IMARA Woman Magazine will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a black-tie Anniversary and Scholarship Gala on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 at The Medallion Conference Center in Columbia. Guests will enjoy an elegant evening of dining, live musical entertainment and dancing. Scholarships will be awarded to students attending the six historically black colleges and universities in South Carolina. IMARA Woman Magazine has awarded more than $55,000 in student scholarships at the Anniversary and Scholarship Gala since the magazine’s inception.
In addition to awarding student scholarships, the publication will also recognize its community partners and commemorate the premiere of the 7th season of its TV Talk Show, which airs January 25 on WLTX in the Midlands and on CW television stations in other regions. “We are excited to celebrate the magazine’s staying power each year with our friends, family and supporters. The Gala is a very special occasion to show our love and appreciation for those who have helped us along the way. And what better day than Valentine’s Day to showcase the love that has sustained IMARA Woman Magazine for 15 years,” says Wendy Brawley, publisher and CEO of IMARA Communications Group, Inc.
Tickets to the IMARA Anniversary and Scholarship Gala are $75 per person and include valet parking, cocktails, dinner and a one-year subscription to IMARA Woman Magazine. The Gala is sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, AARP, AT&T and the IMARA Community Foundation. For tickets or more information, visit www.imarawoman.com.
